CERDIT | Center for Research and Education on Transportation Infrastructure.

Description:

Laboratory for research and teaching on transportation infrastructure of the ICAR/04 research group of Bari Polytechnic University (“Poliroadtech”), equipped with hardware and software to support research and teaching, precision GPS instrumentation (total station and sensors), Telelaser speed meter, instrumentation for vehicular traffic counts.
The scientific head of the Laboratory is Prof. Vittorio Ranieri.

The following teachings within the Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programs in Civil and Environmental Engineering provided by Bari Polytechnic University (Bari and Taranto campuses), make use of the laboratory: Construction of Roads, Railways and Airports; Road Safety; Road Infrastructure Construction Sites; Roads, Railways and Airports; Sustainability of Road Infrastructure; Pedestrian, Bicycle and Motorized Traffic Infrastructure; Road Construction, with an average student turnout of 100 students per year.

The lab also serves as a support for the teaching provided to students in the “Construction of Roads, Railways and Airports” course at the University of Salento
