Turin, Feb. 18, 2023  Dear Members, It is with deep sadness that I inform you that Prof. Salvatore Di Mino, former Professor of Roads, Railways and Airports in the University of Palermo, has passed away.
The figure of Prof. Di Mino represents a reference for our disciplinary field and for SIIV, of which he was a Founding Member and President.
His passing leaves a great void for the entire academic community and for our Society.
The Board of Directors and the Members close their arms around his son, Prof. Gaetano, and his family members in this moment of deep sorrow, also addressing a thought to his colleagues in the Palermo office to whom his enormous scientific, professional and moral baggage built during the long years of his career goes as a legacy.
