SIIV's International Winter School

The winter schools represent Advanced Research Training Courses on the topics proper to the scientific disciplinary field  CEAR 03/a (former ICAR/04) – Roads, Railways, Airports.

These are educational courses and seminars taught by academics and scholars of international scope and are dedicated to doctoral students, young researchers, and engineers, from Italy and abroad.

The purpose is to provide them with the latest insights into theories, techniques, processes, and models for the conception, design, construction, upgrading, maintenance, and operation of road, rail, and airport transportation infrastructure systems.

On an annual basis, the SIIV Board of Directors gathers the willingness of an academic venue to host the event from among the various SIIV Academic Network where there are members of the association (click here to learn about all our venues).
In close synergy with the organizing venue, and taking into account the most current strategic issues, the themes to be declined in the course of the school are identified.
